Since its inception in 1991, Grumeretz Illustration has grown from a small freelance illustration company into a premier, full-service custom mural and commercial art company. Professional artist and owner Dan Grumeretz, grew up in Elburn, Illinois, 60 miles west of Chicago. He was a teenager when commissioned for his first job – painting a large mural of his school’s mascot in the gymnasium. Dan’s talent with airbrush, acrylics, pen and ink, pastels and watercolors continued to impress his classmates and instructors. In 1990, Dan graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and opened Grumeretz Illustration. In 1998, Dan relocated from Illinois to Phoenix, Arizona, bringing GI’s distinctive and exceptional style of illustration and commercial art to the Valley of the Sun. He lives with his wife and two sons, and is an avid science fiction movie buff, painter, sculpture, scratch model builder, and photographer of skies, landscapes and wildlife, particularly birds of prey. Today, GI works with clients in the southwest and nationwide, providing them with a talent, creativity and an extraordinary ability to take ideas from “concepts to canvas.” His love of nature and form delivers a creative spin for distinguished, one-of-a-kind art. He believes that any idea, no matter what the size, has value and that the only limitation to his art is the limit of the imagination…
